iPhone 18 Philippines: Best Bank Offers, Where to Buy, and Is 36 Months Really Worth It?

Featuring: Apple, The Loop, Power Mac Center, Abenson, Beyond the Box, Fone Style, Fone Range

Updated October 3, 2026

The iPhone 18 Pro Max can look cheaper than an earlier iPhone 17 Pro Max deal when you compare monthly payments. But stretch those payments from 24 to 36 months and you are committing to another year of debt.

The question is not just “Can I afford the monthly payment?” It is “Will I still want this phone while I am paying for it?”

Local pre-orders run from October 2 to 15, with availability beginning October 16. Apple Philippines lists the iPhone 18 Pro from ₱94,990 and the iPhone 18 Pro Max from ₱99,990. Stock, delivery dates, and offers depend on the seller and payment channel.

Best bank offers ranked by actual savings

For a consistent comparison, these estimates use the iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB at ₱99,990. They exclude trade-ins, accessory vouchers, gift values, and limited first-customer offers.

RankBank and where to buyAdvertised benefit and eligibilityIllustrative cost after benefit
1PNB at The Loop₱6,000 cashback; minimum ₱90,000; 24-month 0% installment₱93,990
2Security Bank at The Loop₱5,000 instant discount; minimum ₱60,000; eligible 12/24-month plans; until October 18₱94,990
3BPI at The Loop₱2,000 launch discount; until November 2₱97,990
4, tiedMetrobank at The Loop₱1,000 launch discount; until November 30₱98,990
4, tiedUnionBank at Abenson₱1,000 cashback; minimum ₱90,000; October 2–4; registration required₱98,990

These are calculated comparisons, not guaranteed checkout quotations. The Loop’s page contains conflicting promotional panels; this ranking follows its dated bank-offer section. Confirm the final price, stacking rules, and eligibility before paying. PNB’s closing date is not clearly stated in that section.

Cashback is not an upfront discount. A ₱99,990 purchase less ₱6,000 cashback has an effective cost of ₱93,990, but do not assume the installment principal or monthly bill automatically becomes lower.

For straightforward savings at checkout, Security Bank is the stronger option to compare. For the largest advertised cashback among these standard offers, PNB leads, provided you qualify.

Best option for 36-month payments

The Loop lists UnionBank cash-price financing over 36 months, with a ₱90,000 minimum. Its October 2–4 reward requires ₱100,000 spend for ₱3,000 cashback plus a ₱1,500 eGC. A ₱99,990 phone alone misses that threshold by ₱10.

Do not count that reward unless the store confirms that your eligible transaction meets the requirement. An eGC is also spending credit, not cash returned to your bank account.

Where to buy: shortlist by what you value

For bank savings: Start with The Loop using the ranking above.

For a useful household freebie: Compare Abenson. Its pre-order offer includes a pushback recliner advertised at ₱11,995 through October 15. UnionBank, BPI, and HSBC have eligible cash-price 0% plans up to 24 months. The product page also shows a higher generic installment price, so select and confirm the specific launch promotion. A recliner only adds real value if you actually want it.

For a potentially stronger limited BDO deal: Check Fone Style and Fone Range before October 4. BDO advertises up to ₱23,399 off eligible 12/24-month pre-orders for the first 50 customers, alongside separate up-to-36-month and deferred-payment options. The headline does not establish the discount for the 256GB Pro Max or guarantee that the maximum discount combines with 36 months. Ask for the exact model quotation and remaining allocation.

For another installment quotation: Power Mac Center advertises 24- and 36-month options. Confirm which bank, term, and transaction channel qualify at your chosen branch. Beyond the Box is another retailer to request a comparable quotation from, rather than assuming its package is automatically better.

iPhone 17 Pro Max before versus iPhone 18 Pro Max now

The historical comparison below uses RCBC’s September 15–17, 2026 flash sale at Power Mac Center and The Loop. That offer priced the iPhone 17 Pro Max 256GB at ₱81,790 over 24 months. It has expired and was not the phone’s original launch price. If you bought at another price, your comparison will differ.

Purchase benchmarkTermMonthly paymentTotal handset priceRemaining after 24 payments
iPhone 17 Pro Max 256GB, expired RCBC offer24 months₱3,407.92₱81,790₱0
iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB, launch-price calculation24 months₱4,166.25₱99,990₱0
iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB, launch-price calculation36 months₱2,777.50₱99,990₱33,330

The iPhone 18 calculations assume the full ₱99,990 is financed at 0%, without additional charges or rewards. The advertised launch-price installment figures match this calculation. Minor billing-rounding differences may apply.

Compared with the earlier discounted iPhone 17 offer, the iPhone 18’s 36-month plan is:

  • ₱630.42 lower per month, approximately 18.5%.
  • ₱18,200 more expensive overall, approximately 22.3%.
  • One year longer, with ₱33,330 still unpaid after month 24.

For the same iPhone 18, choosing 36 instead of 24 months reduces the monthly payment by ₱1,388.75. It does not reduce the ₱99,990 purchase price.

Is the three-year commitment worth it?

Our verdict: not simply because the monthly payment looks cheaper.

A 36-month plan started around October 2026 extends into approximately late 2029, depending on the first billing date and any payment deferral. Several newer iPhone launches could happen during that period. Their hardware, features, prices, and Philippine availability are not confirmed today.

You do not need to predict those upgrades to understand the risk. After 12 scheduled payments, this ₱99,990 plan still has ₱66,660 unpaid. After 24 payments, it still has ₱33,330 unpaid.

That matters if you regularly upgrade. Buying the next phone before finishing the current plan could mean overlapping payments unless you settle the remaining balance.

The “lockup” is principally the repayment commitment, not necessarily an obligation to keep the handset. Selling or trading it in does not by itself cancel the installment debt. Check your bank’s settlement and pretermination terms.

The 36-month option can make sense if you already intend to buy at the confirmed total price, will keep the phone for at least three years, and can comfortably meet the payments without relying on uncertain future income.

It is less convincing if you upgrade every one or two years, already have a satisfactory iPhone 17 Pro Max, or need the longer term mainly to make an otherwise unaffordable purchase look manageable.

What improvements are you paying for?

Apple highlights the A20 Pro chip, a variable-aperture main camera, and up to six additional hours of video playback compared with the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The battery figure is Apple’s test claim, not a promise of six extra hours in everyone’s daily use.

Those improvements may matter if you regularly use demanding camera or performance features. They do not automatically justify replacing a recent Pro Max.

If you already own an iPhone 17 Pro Max, the relevant calculation is the new phone’s confirmed price minus your actual resale or trade-in proceeds, plus any old balance and applicable settlement charges. The old installment does not disappear when you upgrade.

Before paying

Get a written quotation showing the exact storage, financed price, term, monthly payment, reward eligibility, and total payable. Check whether the price matches the cash offer, whether registration is required, and what happens if you settle early.

Do not subtract advertised gift values from the phone’s price. Do not compare a phone-only installment with a postpaid monthly bill without accounting for the service plan.

The best offer is the lowest verified cost that fits how long you will actually keep the phone. Lower monthly payments are useful, but they are not proof of better value.
