The newest 50 Top Pizza World ranking is out, and two Metro Manila restaurants have once again earned global recognition.
Crosta ranked No. 31, while a mano placed No. 48 in the 2026 world list announced in Naples, Italy.
Both restaurants also finished inside the Asia-Pacific Top 10 earlier this year.
One detail that may confuse readers: 50 Top Pizza is the name of the guide, but its world ranking includes 100 pizzerias.
Who won from the Philippines?
- Crosta: No. 31 in the world and No. 5 in Asia-Pacific
- a mano: No. 48 in the world and No. 9 in Asia-Pacific
Compared with the 2025 world results, Crosta moved from No. 28 to No. 31. A mano improved from No. 49 to No. 48.
The overall No. 1 pizzeria for 2026 was Napoli on the Road in London.

1. Crosta
Location: Salcedo Village, Makati, with another branch in Greenhills, San Juan
Crosta remains the highest-ranked Philippine pizzeria on the list. Led by Filipino-Japanese executive pizza chef Yuichi Abellare Ito, the restaurant is known for offering several pizza styles instead of limiting itself to one.
Its selection includes airy sourdough-style round pizzas, thick Detroit-style pizzas and crunchy Sicilian squares. Vegan and dairy-free choices are also available.
What should first-time diners order?
The safest signature order is Morty & Ella 2.0, made with pistachio mortadella, black truffle béchamel, mozzarella, stracciatella and roasted pistachios.
The 50 Top Pizza guide also highlighted The Queen, Salsiccia Shrooms and Crosta’s rotating seasonal pizzas.
For a more affordable introduction, try Basic Betch, Crosta’s take on a classic Margherita.

Practical tip: Crosta’s dining space can fill up quickly. Order ahead for pickup if you already know which pizzas you want.

2. a mano
Locations: Power Plant Mall in Rockwell, One Bonifacio High Street in BGC, Gateway Mall 2 in Araneta City and Shangri-La Plaza
Founded by Amado Forés, a mano focuses on classic and contemporary Italian food, including pizza, handmade pasta and desserts.
Its pizza is closer to a contemporary Neapolitan style, with a pronounced but light crust. The restaurant uses a Valoriani oven certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana.
What should first-time diners order?
The award guide recommends the Diavola, a spicy pizza with tomato sauce, spicy salami, Italian sausage, ’nduja, fiordilatte and basil. It was listed at ₱990 when checked.
There is also a timely reason to visit. A mano and Manam currently have a limited Filipino-Italian collaboration featuring a Crispy Sisig Pizza and Ube Sago Burrata Soft Serve.
a mano x Manam: Ciao, Paboritos!
Two Filipino favorites meet a mano’s Italian pizza and gelato.
Prices, dates and availability are subject to change. Advance reservations are recommended.
The collaboration is available for dine-in at all a mano branches only until October 15, 2026.
Crosta or a mano: Which should you try first?
Choose Crosta if you want:
- A crunchier crust
- Creative and unconventional toppings
- Detroit, Sicilian and round pizza choices
- Vegan and dairy-free options
- A more casual pizza-focused meal
Choose a mano if you want:
- Contemporary Neapolitan-style pizza
- A comfortable full-service restaurant
- Pasta, antipasti and desserts with your pizza
- Several mall-based branches
- A more polished lunch or dinner experience
If budget is the priority, Crosta offers the lower entry point with Basic Betch. If you are celebrating or want a complete Italian meal, a mano offers a broader dining experience.
How does 50 Top Pizza choose its winners?
50 Top Pizza uses anonymous inspectors who pay for their meals. The ranking does not judge only one pizza or one pizza maker.
Inspectors consider the whole experience, including:
- Pizza quality and ingredients
- Service
- Restaurant setting and cleanliness
- Waiting time and customer flow
- Wine, beer and other beverages
- Consistency of the overall concept
This means inclusion in the list recognizes the complete pizzeria experience, not simply one bestselling item.
