The Alpha Suites has been quietly building a dining lineup that goes far beyond the usual hotel buffet. The property has eight specialty restaurants, plus its poolside veranda and bars, making it possible to jump from Italian to steakhouse favorites, Filipino food, Thai, Japanese, Spanish, and more without leaving the building.
And for the next few weeks, there are three dining offers worth watching.
Planning Around the August Long Weekends? Start With Barbecue Nights
There is actually good timing behind this one.
Ninoy Aquino Day falls on Friday, August 21, 2026, while National Heroes Day is on Monday, August 31, creating two convenient long-weekend windows for anyone staying in Metro Manila.
The Alpha Suites is using both.
Its Barbecue Nights are scheduled for August 21 to 23 and August 28 to 31, from 6 PM to 10 PM at the hotel’s 6th-floor Poolside Veranda. Expect grilled specialties, poolside drinks, and live entertainment.
There is no need to book an out-of-town trip just to make the weekend feel different. Dinner beside the hotel’s lagoon-style swimming pool could be the easier Makati alternative. The pool and veranda are both located on the sixth floor of the property.
Best for: long-weekend dinners, groups of friends, or a staycation night where you would rather stay in than battle holiday traffic.
Balesin’s Toscana Is Coming to Makati
This might be the more interesting one.
From September 16 to 22, The Alpha Suites is bringing the flavors of Toscana from Balesin Island into the city for its Island to City: Toscana Takeover. The event features signature Italian dishes by Rico Landicho and Chef Osong.
So if a Balesin trip is not exactly on this month’s calendar, this is a considerably easier way to get a taste of one of its dining concepts without leaving Makati.
There is also something for families. A Junior Pizzaiolo Workshop is scheduled for September 19 at 3 PM, turning the takeover into more than just another dinner reservation.
Best for: Italian food lovers, families looking for a weekend activity, or anyone curious about the Balesin dining experience without making the trip to the island.
Then There’s Tex-Mex at The Chop House
For something more casual, The Alpha Suites has also been highlighting a Tex-Mex menu featuring Tex-Mex dishes and cocktails.
Its dedicated offer page lists the menu for lunch and dinner at The Chop House, along with Buy 1, Get 1 offers on tequila and Corona beer.
The Chop House itself is The Alpha Suites’ ranch-inspired steakhouse, normally known for dishes such as dry-aged USDA Prime Rib, burgers, and other Western favorites.
There is one thing to check before heading over: some sections of The Alpha Suites website previously listed the Tex-Mex promotion as running through August 2, while the dedicated offer page still presents the menu and drink promotion as available.
Consider this one a reason to check what is currently being served at The Chop House rather than assuming the promotional drinks are still automatically included.
The Bigger Reason to Keep The Alpha Suites on Your Makati Food List
Individual promos will come and go, but that is also why The Alpha Suites is worth bookmarking.
The property isn’t relying on a single hotel restaurant. Its dining lineup includes Filipino, Spanish, Greek, Japanese, Thai, Chinese, steakhouse, and Italian concepts, with select dishes also available for outdoor dining at the Poolside Veranda.
That makes these three offers less of a one-off promotion and more of an excuse to see what the hotel is doing next.
Today it might be barbecue by the pool, a Balesin Italian takeover, or Tex-Mex and cocktails.
A few months from now, there could be something completely different.
