Makati probably doesn’t need another coffee shop.
But House Blend by Simeon has one detail that makes it much harder to scroll past: the café is hidden inside an actual furniture showroom.
Located on the fourth floor of One Salcedo Center in Legazpi Village, House Blend by Simeon shares its space with Simeon Home Furniture, turning what could have been another minimalist café into something closer to a very stylish living room where someone happens to be making specialty coffee.
And yes, the furniture you’re sitting on is actually for sale.

It only opened in July 2026
House Blend by Simeon is genuinely new.
Simeon Home announced on July 14, 2026 that the café would begin its soft opening the following day, putting its opening date at July 15, 2026.
That explains why it still has a bit of a hidden-gem feeling.
You enter what looks more like a furniture showroom than a typical café, then find the coffee bar surrounded by warm wood, oversized lounge chairs, sofas, lamps, art and carefully arranged home pieces.

The furniture isn’t just decoration
The other half of the concept is Simeon Home Furniture, which describes itself as an artisanal, bespoke and contemporary Philippine furniture maker.
Instead of furnishing House Blend like a conventional coffee shop, the showroom itself becomes the café.
That means you can settle into one of the statement chairs, inspect the fabrics and furniture around you, have coffee, then potentially ask about buying the piece you were sitting on.
It’s a clever setup, especially if you’re into interiors.
Simeon Home is essentially the design brand behind the entire experience, so the café feels less like a restaurant that hired someone to decorate it and more like being invited into a designer’s living room.

Come for coffee, then realize the chair you’re sitting on is part of the showroom.
Order the Pili Mont Blanc
The drink we’d come back for is the Pili Mont Blanc.
And this isn’t just another sweet coffee with a Filipino ingredient added for the name.
House Blend’s menu pays tribute to the owner’s Bicol roots, including the use of locally sourced coffee beans from Bicol. The Pili Mont Blanc combines espresso with Bicolano pili, macadamia and cream.

The pili is what makes it particularly interesting.
It gives the cream a distinctly nutty character while the macadamia pushes it further into dessert territory. Underneath is the espresso, so you’re still getting the bitterness of coffee against that thick, creamy top.
It’s rich without completely hiding the coffee.
More importantly, two of the drink’s defining elements have a real connection to the Philippines: Bicol-grown coffee and Bicolano pili.
For a café sitting in the middle of Makati, it’s a small but noticeable Bicol signature.
Get the cinnamon roll with it
Then there’s the cinnamon roll.
This is not the dry, lightly glazed kind.
It’s soft, sweet and generously covered in a thick creamy frosting that works its way into the layers of the roll. Pair a piece with the stronger espresso underneath the Pili Mont Blanc and suddenly ordering both makes a lot of sense.
If you like your cinnamon rolls soft, sticky and unapologetically creamy, this is the one to get with your coffee.
A coffee shop for people who like interiors as much as coffee
House Blend by Simeon works because the furniture concept doesn’t feel pasted onto the café.
You’re actually inside Simeon Home’s showroom. The chairs aren’t props. The sofas aren’t there just for Instagram. The furniture is part of the business, and that gives every seating area a different personality.
One corner can feel like a retro living room. Another looks ready for an interior-design shoot.
For coffee shop hopping in Makati, that’s enough to make House Blend feel different from the usual concrete counters and identical wooden stools.
And if you end up leaving wanting both the coffee and the chair you drank it on, that’s probably exactly the idea.
